'Business Version' of Credit Files

I've been advised that the 'consumer' version of my credit file that I'm in possession of from Experian is different to the 'business version' that a lender would see.
Now, while I totally understand that the data might be presented differently, I was under the impression that my credit file contained everything. Nothing would be invisible to me, and only seen by the lender. However, the broker is insisting that there is and that this is likely to affect any application I may make.
Naturally, if I've had a history with a specific lender, then they'll have a whole host of additional information on me. But to a new lender that is in no way tied to my previous financial history, I believed they would only ever have the information that I also had.
I may be totally wrong, but wouldn't them keeping information from me be breaching data protection laws?

They see roughly what you see, but without lender's names. So no, no additional data, apart from anything they have from a separate source - eg their own data, CIFAS, etc.
As long as the data is collected and processed correctly, there's no DPA breach.0
