Quite the adventure for you and FDawg!

Congratulations (rather belatedly!) on the win!
Shopping is exhausting - I used to like supermarket shopping, but now with the queues to get in, daft people inside not following the one-way system/ social distancingand the lack of many items (still) it takes twice as long to get less things
- and that's not including the price rises.... Can't say I'm feeling any need to go into other shops when they re-open.....

Cheery_Daff said:Gosh that is an adventure indeed Fortune!
I'm about to venture out on one myself - just to the supermarket, but I've not actually been in a big one since lockdown started - I've always sat in the car while Mr Cheery went in. I've been in the garage, and the village shop a couple of times, but not the big proper supermarket. Feels weird.
Our vets have been good (but then we've not had to actually buy anything). They chat over the phone, and if you need to take your pet, you ring when you get outside, and the vet comes out, and you leave your pet carrier on the pavement and step back and they pick it up, then take pet inside etc. Seems to work well (and frustratingly we've been to the vet more times during lockdown than ever before I think!)
Enjoyed hearing about your little tasty treat sat outside. I've just rejoined Slimming World so I'm going to try not to think too much about cakes! 😕😂

Blue Skies
It's been a lovely day today. We were up bright and early to prepare for DS2's visit. He arrived earlier than expected - I think he wanted to get here as quickly as possible and stay as long as possible 🥰
I made BLT Tart for lunch with Mustard-glazed Roast New Potatoes and Salad. For desert I baked Fruit Scones which we had with clotted cream and strawberry jam. They were absolutely delicious! I sent one home for DiL who couldn't visit of course and also had to work. Four were left over and I've popped those in the freezer for another day... tomorrow most likely 🙄 Mr F and DS2 ate outside of course and I sat inside at the kitchen island so I could at least see them.
Whilst the boys were chatting I shuffled money. Mr F's pay came in so I've paid bills and transferred savings. I avoided the temptation to spend it all on gin and kittens 😂 but I did order some treats for FDawg. He's running low and never misses an opportunity to remind me when it's treat time 😂
We managed to get a little gardening done after DS2 left and are now munching cheese and biscuits as neither of us is particularly hungry. We've opened a bottle of wine. It's one of our final two bottles 😮 As Mr F isn't travelling at the moment we're not accummulating the Avi0$ points to buy any more 😮 We haven't had to buy wine for years - it's going to be a shock!
Tomorrow we'll need to get out in the garden again. I noticed the broad beans were flowering today.
I love, love, love this weather. It does make things a little more bearable I think.
Hope everyone's having a good weekend.

Nothing but Blue Skies
We spent all of Sunday in the garden making the most of the weather before it turns. Mr F stained the shed and put a new roof on it. I weeded the veg patch and put the cauliflowers and marrows in their beds. I need to do something about the flower beds though. I've spent so much time in the veg patch the flower beds are starting to look very neglected.
Northern Ireland have announced they'll be allowing hotels to reopen on 20th July so I don't think it will be long before we can have people in the annex again. I need to step up a gear really if I'm to keep on top of the house and garden before that extra workload arrives.
Yesterday was a good start. I spent an early hour weeding the flower beds before it got too hot. Then gave the dining room a thorough clean - it's getting very dusty in the house as it's so dry and we have the doors and windows open all day. My housework listen at the moment is 'The C0nvicti0n of C0ra Burn$' on Audibl£ which I'm really enjoying so that's an incentive to do the chores. Then lunch - Halloumi & Mushroom Burgers eaten on the patio 😀 (we're eating all our meals on the patio at the moment - even breakfast). That left the afternoon clear for some painting 😀 I still have some slates left so painted another of those - a swallow this time (photo to follow). I'm planning to hang them in the annex and offer them for sale if any of our guests are interested in a souvenir of their stay. Supper was Chipotle Sweet Potato & Black Bean Stew with Cheddar Dumplings. Do be careful if you try it though - 3 teaspoons of Chipotle is plenty not 3 tablespoons as the recipe states 🥵 I also managed to whiz the vacuum round, draft the next WI newsletter and start the grocery shop. So I'm feeling very productive 😁 I hoping to stick to the same structure today as I'd like to get some more painting done this afternoon.
Apparently it's the last day of the very hot weather today so I hope you get to enjoy it 🌞
