Boo to the bonus, especially when it was for a previous completed year. Fingers crossed he gets it later Here is the recipe to the choux buns I made

Also agree it's very unfair about the cake too. I've not been eating even half the !!!!!! I usually eat (see my conversation about Mr Cheery giving me FOUR chocolate buttons at a time) but have I lost anything at all? No! Shocking.

woodfired said:Sorry to hear about Mr F's payrise and bonus Fortune. It's very difficult at the moment and I think barely anyone in the private sector will be untouched in some way. I said the same to my Mum last night as we surveyed the 3 fields full of last year's lambs that should have been sold over the last few weeks. Despite apparent food shortages, the price has dropped to almost half what it was 4 weeks ago and Dad is struggling to find a market for them at all at the moment. Meanwhile, their mothers are producing dozens of lambs a day in the neighbouring fields......
Your garden sounds fab and a welcome distraction at the moment. We too have been counting our blessings as we work in the garden and on the house, thankful for a lovely home and garden when others may not be so lucky. Chin up, we'll get through this. x

To make a word a link. Go to the recipe page and copy the URL at the top. Go to your post and highlight the words you want to make a link. Press the little chain icon at the top of the post (like a figure eight on a slant). Remove the https that appears in the box (otherwise you'll repeat it). Paste the URL in the box. Press 'OK'. You're all done.

Memory Loss
I can't remember what I've been doing since my last post 😮 The days are all blending delightfully into one. A little gardening, a little housework, a little cooking, a little baking.
We've tried to make this weekend a bit more of a 'holiday' and give ourselves a break from the 'norm'. I spent a lovely morning yesterday video calling friends and family from the patio followed by an afternoon of hammock testing 😉 We had a fish and chip supper from the freezer with a glass of prosecco and some of Mr F's easter egg. Then watched a film on Amaz0n. It did feel like a day off.
Lunches have been salads - Blue Cheese & Grapes with Caramalised Pecans and Halloumi with Orange & Mint. I'm hoping they will help to offset the cake as we're still working our way through the last one 🤣 I re-started C25K this morning - there's only 8 minutes of actually running in the first session but that's 8 more than I would have done otherwise.
Mr F is cracking on with the gardening jobs on his list. I've done a little weeding and planted some tomato seeds - you don't get many of those to the pound do you! 😮 I think there were only 6 in the packet I bought! Can you grow tomatoes from the seeds of shop bought? I might give it a try.
I'm not intending to do much more today. I might go out on slug patrol this evening if it's not raining - the blighters are nibbling my radishes.
Hope you're all enjoying your Easter.

I've grown tomatoes from shop-bought ones (the squishy ones
) - they've never been the most bountiful plants, but I figure they're free seeds, so almost a bonus

Thanks for the advice on the link. I’ll give it a whirl. Think it’s important to differentiate between days otherwise its all just a blur 😊 my friend who is retired (to a warm country) told me this a couple of years ago. As she said otherwise it’s easy to treat every day like a weekend, which isn’t always good for ones liver or waistline!5

I am using OOD tomato seeds as nine left in usual shops...no joy as yet
but salad leaves doing ok, their BB date was 2014 😀
Going to try for a relaxing week here too, have booked some leave and plan to do a few tidying and sorting jobs
