Congrats on the video calls, fortune! I had one with my 84 year old nan yesterday, was quite the experience! Lol!
An extra load of bananas should mean only one thing, banoffee pie!!
We don't have any outside space, so I can see why it would be appealing to go against advice and go out but we won't be. Luckily, my parents have said that we can include their garden in our walk out with the dogs. I'll be taking my washing so I can use their line and get that dry too!

I've never felt the need before Jessy as I get to see family and friends in person quite regularly in 'normal' life. It's a revelation during lockdown though!Jessy103 said:Congrats on the video calls, fortune! I had one with my 84 year old nan yesterday, was quite the experience! Lol!

Mmmmmm - banoffee pie, one of my favourites 🍰
What a fabulous idea to garden share - I'd happily share mine with anyone who'd share the weeding 😁

All my recent cakes have been fruit based as we're getting more with our veg box delivery than usual. Shame it doesn't count as your five a day 😂 Next on the use it or lose it list is a mango 🍰rtandon27 said:There has been quite bit of banana bread in our diets this week! Extending
We've had another full day out in the garden. Mr F has taken down the fence at the end of the veg patch so we can extend it. He plotted out the new fence and beds and managed to get one bed dug before we called it a day. I raked over some more of the existing veg beds and planted carrots, garlic and spring onions. Tomorrow I'm hoping to get some red onions planted out and some courgettes, butternut squash and green beans potted up to go in the cold frame. The radishes I planted last weekend are already coming up! I feel like Barbara in The Good Life... shame I look more like Margo 🤣🤣🤣
Lunch was leftover curry from yesterday and for supper we had a basic shop bought pizza from the freezer topped with red onion and leftover peppers and mozzarella that needed using up. We had it with some sweet potato wedges also from the freezer. Something quick and easy as I didn't have any energy left for cooking. A glass of red wine might also have sneaked onto the dinner tray this evening 🙄
I bought some kibble for FDawg's treat toys today and put an order in for 1000 litres of heating oil. It's double what I usually order but only a little more than I usually pay. I thought it best to take advantage of the low prices now in case they go back up later. The oil wasn't budgetted for this month but I usually refill the tank over the summer so I'm just a little early this time.
I'm showered and in my jimjams and looking forward to falling into bed later. It's exhausting work this gardening 🥱
Happy weekend all

We'd like to be Jessy... but I haven't planted any grape vines or cocoa bean trees so wine and chocolate will still have to be brought in 😁Jessy103 said:Sounds lovely fortune, you'll be self sufficient in no time!
The mango was sliced up with a handful of raspberries from the freezer and served up with granola and yoghurt for this morning's breakfast. I like the sound of a mango smoothie though so will give that a go next time.Moneyfordreams said:Frozen mango smoothie is my current favourite, sugar free vanilla syrup mango and semi skimmed milk
