Direct recovery plus/ APCOA PCN

Hello all,
I received a PCN around five months ago from APCOA for parking at a train station in taunton. The letter had a picture of my car entering the car park and asked for payment for using their car park. At the time I saw no signs asking for payment and ended up parking in one of the 20 minute free parking bays that was close to the tracks so I could help my girlfriend get onto the train. I ended up ignoring this letter because it seemed very ridiculous and the formatting of the letter did not seem proffessional at all.
A few days ago however I received a letter from debt recovery plus asking for the money, plus an extra charge on behalf of APCOA. I have read through the sticky thread and it seems like the best course of action for debt recovery plus is to ignore them. However what about APCOA? I am wondering if it is still possible to appeal at this stage or should I just go on ignoring this?
Thankyou for taking the time to look through this silly problem.

You should not have ignored the original letter many have done that and ended up wishing they hadn't.
You are now at debt collector stage these can be ignored, they are toothless Muppets trying to frighten you.
Do you know if this car park is covered by bye-laws as most railway car parks are?
If so APCOA cannot take this any further only the land owner can, for trespass, but that times out after 6 months.
In any case you should wait now and see what transpires any further action is highly unlikely, APCOA has issued 48k tickets to date this year and taken no one to court.0 -
Simply ignore DRP, a timewasting bunch and producers of junk mail letters ... NO POWER
You missed your chance to appeal so sit and wait, only APCOA
can take it further so just wait, if you get a LBA come back here0 -

Thankyou all for the quick replies.
@FisherJim. I have just talked with First Great Western and they mentioned that the car parks are under railway station bye-laws and that they are the owners.
It is a little more reassuring to hear that there is more than likely chance they will not take this further.0 -
They won't, and APCOA can't.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
