Can't understand what's happening since yesterday when I log onto the forum. I'm now seeing the unpleasant "white" format rather than the regular green & white format I usually see and the threads all seem to be old ones.
Can anybody suggest what's happened on my computer and how I can get back to seeing my normal format and up to date threads ? Thanks.

go to your usercp (possibly called something else on the new horrid version) and look for something like "Forum version manager" (what its called in the original cp) and change the setting there, should get you green again......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
I see the horrid new format ... until I login and then I get the nice old green stretchy format.
Are you sure you were logged in? (The forum is playing silly beggars at the moment and not remembering login after the browser is closed).0 -
Just the last few days these forums have been logging me out automatically - it seems to be when either leave the site or close Firefox.0

Yep, same with me, mentioned in a post yesterday evening and I suspect there will be quite a few more posts about it. Where do you contact the Forum handlers to report it?0

Thanks all. this white version won't even let me click the "thanks" button for some reason. I don,t know why the techies always have to try and "improve" things. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.there,s enough hassle in most of our lives anyway without having to wrestle with unnecessary changes! :eek:0

I expect it will magically go back to normal eventually .
Not liking the newer look .0 -

Totally agree. It reminds me of Apple and their frequent updates .
I'll leave it there0 -

Not being much of a techie ( which is why I always struggle with this stuff) can somebody please explain in "idiot terms" where ai will find this? Thanks.0 -

Presuming you are on the 'new' format, near the top of the page on the left you will see your avatar, with an indicator above it as to how many new messages you have.
Left click on your avatar pic and then click on 'Your profile'.
On the page that comes up, left click on the big button on the right that says 'Your Settings'.
On the settings page scroll down and at the bottom of the left hand column you will see Forum Version Manager, click on 'Manage Version'.
Click the down arrow on the box that says 'Latest Version' and change it to 'Old Version' then click on the 'Save Changes' button.
You may have to log out and back in to see the change.
Having said all that, on my forum page there's a green bar along the top saying
"Welcome to the new look Forum. Click here if you'd like to switch back"
And clicking the 'switch back' does exactly the same thing as all the previous stuff I posted.0
