What can a man wear to make it look like he has a slimmer midsection?
I have seen these sight vests that appear to tighten up your midsection?
Is there anything

Victorian ladies wore stays. Does that appeal?
My grandmother wore whalebone corsets.
I gave up trying to fake a trim midriff some time ago and am now attempting to lose weight.
For men? I dunno. Wide elastic belt?I believe that friends are quiet angels

I think Marks and Spencer do/did them. for the waist, just wear the ones meant for women.
Primark have plain ones that cinch the waist.0 -
Spanx is amazing for getting the perfect figure. Can get it for men online in a vest, t-shirt, etc. They are very tight and really do pull you in! Can often be awkward and sometimes painful getting them on. Check women's end too though as they can be got cheaper and more available on various websites.
Also try online on Marks and Spencer, they do vest tops, etc. in women's end may be more suitable.0 -

I am not sure what makes a plain pair of shorts "for" women or men, but transgender/cross dressing shops might have what you are looking for.
