Aww, thanks for the welcome guys!
Karmacat, the very same appel farm, elmer, new jersey! It is a lovely place, disgustingly humid so you really do look forward to those storms... except that we had to stay inside when there were storms, apparently the camp gets hit by lightning every once in a while. If I have to explain to one more teenager exactly why they shouldn't use the toilet in a lightning storm, aaah! :rotfl:
And I-A, someone who knows what smores are, yay!
The camp could only afford Hersheys chocolate though, yuk, I'm thinking a british version with cadburys or green and blacks might need to be tried!! For those of you know don't know, smores are campfire food - chocolate and toasted marshmallows inside graham crackers (bit like digestives)... you can even read about them on wikipedia  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S'more
LA - I really hope I can go back next year. I haven't been officially asked (no-one has yet) but all the feedback I got was positive and a couple of the senior people were saying "bye, hopefully see you next year" type stuff. It really depends on how things go between now and then. I'm doing this part time OU course but I'm fairly sure the exam for that is before camp starts. If I get a place to study midwifery starting next year then I'll quit my job (you know, the one I don't have yet!) and go, but if I'm not starting uni I'll have to see if its worth quitting my job just to go.
It hopefully wouldn't involve any debt next time though :j Basically this time some of my wages went to the agency here who got me the job, helped with my visa etc. And they bought my flights too. Next time I'd do the flights myself (they'd still do the visa) and then I'd get the full wage from camp. Also, I wouldn't travel for so long (if at all) and that was really what cost money. Realistically, I wouldn't come back with any wages left over but hopefully no extra debt either.
So so, the plan is to debt-bust like crazy and see what happens! It is almost all on 0% at the moment so its not costing me huge amounts but I just want it gone already!
First step... find a job :rolleyes:Don't stress, relax, let life roll off your backs. Except for death and paying taxes, everything in life is only for now... Avenue QOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 003
