Morning all,
ginnyknit, I am appalled that you had such a nasty accident and people stood around and watched. I wish that I could say that I was surprised, but sadly not. Years ago I witnessed an old lady (probably younger than I am now but she seemed incredibly old to me) fall in the middle of Guildford High Street. She went down with a thud and her shopping bag flew out of her hand, scattering her shopping far and wide over the pavement. It was unbelievable! People were stepping over her. A few of us ran to her aid but the worst wasn't over. I heard a man shout and looked up in time to see a smartly dressed lady rooting through all the poor woman's possessions on the pavement and filling her own bag. That vision has lived with me for all these years.
I'm glad that you have survived Ginny, and even more pleased that the accident cured your tinnitus. Perhaps you have made a great scientific discovery. Maybe in future, specially trained doctors will trip tinnitus sufferers up. Hospitals will spend millions on building incredibly hard stone walls for them to bang their heads against. You will be awarded the Nobel Peace .............
You want a Thought to cover this? I'm sure there are better ones out there, but how about "Every bash on the head has a blissful silence?" or more poetically..........

Ginny how absolutely awful - at least there was one good Samaritan. Do hope you are OK now so be gentle with yourself. Brilliant thought Monna as usual!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

Popping in to wish fuds a productive appointment today with the Consultant ( if I've haven't mixed up the day .
Lavender vibes for you love .
Lovely to see you Ginny but what an experience , Nothing surprises me nowadays but there are good people and a lot of self centred , entitled types . That one kind lady makes up for all the rest .
Hope you feel better soon . At least you've lost the tinnitus hope it stays away .

Ginny it's lovely to see you but I'm sorry to hear of your accident. I hope it hasn't effected your confidence though.
I'm back from the cardiologist. Well remembered PollyI'm getting an MRI scan because he thinks way back with the first pneumonia, the one with the fluid backed up into my lungs, it's probable that it cause inflammation of the heart muscle. He suspects I have, or have had, mayocarditis. He suspects that last week was an exacerbation of that. He's gone through all my blood test results and found the white blood cells always elevated (I think) and also infection markers are always raised even though, over time, they have fallen. They were quite low last week but not low enough for a healthy person. The echo showed that my heart is only slightly struggling but it is struggling so he wants to do the MRI.
I can't ask fairer than that can I? I'm trying not to Google because there's some serious stuff on there about it and I just don't think I need to read that. I have to go by what I've seen and spoken about with a person who has my details in front of them. So until the MRI I take it easy (that school run ladies, I have slogged so hard for the past year up that hill!) I still have the calcium channel blockers but he's upped the dose until the MRI and then we go from there.
One thing I'm taking from it is if I fall ill again I now mention pneumonia and mayocarditis. I shouldn't be falling through any nets. Given the situation I now feel pretty strong. 'only slightly struggling' that's me
My main aim (we know I like control) is to continue with my low inflammatory diet to the point of obsession!

It sounds as though you are now in experienced safe hands fuds . I'm happy to see that .
I have an A5 size reinforced clear zip top holder which lives permanently in my bag . It holds the latest printout of all dds meds . Her blood monitoring book and a printout of all diagnoses . Other useful history is in there along with her PPC .
It would help if you typed out and copied your recent history and added to a similar system that is always with you . Your gp should receive feedback from the consultant so ask for a copy of that .
Meanwhile I'm aware you are trying to deal with the anxiety issues . It's natural after all the ups and downs of your life that anxiety lurks in the background .
Dd can move an imminent appt from a letter to catastrophe mode in minutes . She's learning well now that that is neither useful or healthy . It's something that happens when bad things have happened in the past - automatic fight or flight - but this is now and not back then . Get thee to the lottie once things are sorted and enjoy the seasons ahead .

Fuddle, my dear little control freak, it seems as though you can relax a bit now. The medics have finally got their act together and seem to be getting you bang to rights. It seems that, and I say this with bated breath and fingers crossed, you can let them get on with the job of sorting out your medical problems, leaving you to sort out your healthy eating, relaxation, anxiety reducing matters as you feel best.
Here's to a brighter, more enjoyable future. You've worked hard for this. xI believe that friends are quiet angels
