Would taking out a £5 pm mobile contract be likely to have any impact on a credit card application soon after?

Which network offers £5pm contracts?
In answer to your question, I imagine the effect would be minimal unless you have been making lots of recent applications for credit and the one extra hard search pushed you into the 'looking desperate for credit' category.0 -
Well maintained mobile contracts add to your credit history and can help show that you handle credit appropriately. It depends which network or supplier you use, as to which CRA they report to.0

They've got £5 tariffs for broadband customers and non-customers, though broadband customers are currently offered twice the data. Plusnet are unusual in that they will let existing customers switch to any current new customer offer, wherever it's advertised. This offer via HUKD gives 1.5GB 1000 minutes and 1000 texts for £5.0
