Very unscientific but I have needed to take out 2 car policies in the last couple of weeks. In both cases I did about 3 comparison websites - the usual suspects.
In both cases one of the "others" was cheapest - one was Direct Line the other Aviva. So certainly worth trying those too.
And "cheapest" is of course relative. We must have the worst value car insurance in Europe.0
