PPI on credit cards

I have a couple of credit cards, and a catalogue account, all of which have what I call a PPI on them - they have other names for them, but basically cover unemployment, etc. I neither want nor need them, and am about to write to each one, asking for them to be cancelled. I don't think I would ever have agreed to them in the first place, but can I prove this? And were they then missold?

You can put in a complaint to the lenders, if you feel you were mis sold, giving your reasons.0

Depending on how long ago you first had this they used to ask you to tick a box to YES you want it or No to you didn't want it on a paper application form or they might have phoned you to add it on to the card.
This might be difficult to prove a missale.0
