Nappy subscription service

My brother and his GF are expecting my second nephew and I thought a nappy subscription service would be a very helpful present.

Has anyone bought one/subscribed to one for someone else?
Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks
Jo

Do you know if they have any preference on nappy brands from their first child? My brother and his girlfriend swear by Mamia for theirs - not just from a cost POV but the shape of Pampers etc. hasn't suited their two. I'd just be a bit cautious buying them one brand if it's not going to be to their preference/of any use if it doesn't suit.

Pampers didn't suit any of my three either. Once had Peaudouce (no longer available), one had Huggies, and one had Morrison's own brand. My granddaughter is in Mamia (Aldi).

A nappy subscription is a good idea once you know what brand is preferred, and assuming that there is an easy way to increase the size as the child grows. I don't know of anything, except perhaps Amazon (they have a repeat order service for some items).
  • Great idea - but it's worth checking with them what they intend to do - they might decide they want to use cloth nappies (which are also available that way) - and you'd need to be able to change brands easily, as one brand might fit perfectly at one age, another might fit better a couple of months later.

From personal expericnce, we have used all of the Mamia products from Aldi, and they are great, and really cheap.
The product range has won multiple awards, beating all of the big brands.
Cost wise, my 2 year old is getting rhrough a whole £10 per month of nappies and wipes.....

Maybe get them one of these for their preferred brand of nappies (if available on there) and link it up to your Amazon account for however long you want?

If they can't be sure what would suit the baby nappy wise before he is born, maybe get several samples of stuff (parenting club at Boots and the like may be a good place to get these, or maybe just buy a pack of several options) and tell them to let you know once they've decided :)
