New roof cost for North West?

Hello I was wondering if anyone had any ballpark figures for replacing the entire roof on a mid terraced house? At least a few of the battens are rotten and the structural beams of which there are five I think? Look like they have slipped. There's been a lot of patching up there with a lot of random timber nailed about. It may not actually need new slates but I assume that they would need taking off to fit new beams etc anyway? I'd probably go for the cement fibre tiles which I believe are the cheapest. We've only just bought the house so are very low on funds now. The width of the roof is roughly 9 meters and the length is roughly 4.

I was quoted c. £3k to re-roof a 2 bed mid terrace last year, using the old slates, new felt & battens but no other timber was quoted for (Lancashire)0

Did you negotiate a reduction in the price of the house in lieu of the work needed or was the state of the roof an unwelcome surprise?
From your description of the state the roof is in, I don't think cheaper is a word you're likely to be using...0
