  • Spoke to Year head, she read DS's statement and has agreed that the situation needs sorting. She's escalated it to the behaviour officer as the lad in question hasn't done as told.

    We'll see what happens next!
  • DS's sports day was great yesterday, even if I was the only parent there :rotfl:

    Kids finish school next Tuesday and it looks like they a few fun things to do.

    Weather changeable today, so unlikely that I'll hang anything out in the garden to dry.

    Things to do this weekend:
    * Washing
    * Ironing
    * Top up shop
    * Cooking
    * Finances

    I have some work I need to catch up on, so I'll do a few hours tomorrow.

    Caught up on surveys, my PP account has been closed but didn't get many surveys from them so not too fussed. Nearly at payout for VO, should be able to order another voucher next week.

    I need to think about August and goals to go with it, something to work on this weekend too.
  • Title says it all.

    Gave DS a bit of trust yesterday as he'd been doing really well and he's spent £270 on the Capital One card on a game and points as he wanted to beat an 8 year old **rolls eyes**

    That games consul has been confiscated and Capital One have now cancelled the card and reissuing a new one.

    Lots of phone calls last night and no it can't be reversed or cancelled as they've been approved.

    Good job I'm back doing surveys, need to even more so now.

    Oh no, that's awful that it can be so easily done. Does your son realise how much money that is?

    Yes he does, even after the last time he did it again.
  • On to today.

    DH is out for the day and the kids are in bed.

    Finally started working on fixing DS's cuddly, it's been hanging about for at least 6 months :o he's not perfect and now looks like a patchwork lion but he'll be fixed, told DS that his cuddly will need a wash in a pillowcase and then tumble dried and he'll have to put it somewhere safe if he wants him to survive a few more years.

    Surveys checked and none so far, will check again later today.

    Got a few chores to get done and DS has a list that he needs to work on.

    Need to carry on with the menu plan for next month and get some ideas of what we need food wise, I'm off the latter part of August and DD is away for four of those days with the Guides, so need to factor that in.

    Need to do a few hours work in between everything too.

    Dinner will need to be done too and I need to see if anything needs making ahead for next week.

    Oh no! again :(

    I hope he realises this time how serious it is :( For future use I use a prepaid card (I got the £5 mastercard gift card from swagbucks) and use this on DS Xbox now. It means he can't spend anything. I buy his EA access etc from CDkeys when I can afford it.

    Other than that I hope you have a good day x

    Thanks HI, I think he does now. This was on his PS3, gets controllers back for it for one day, makes a mess up and loses the console totally.
  • What a nightmare, especially after already going through it once before. It's so disappointing when you have raised your kids to know better. I know they need to fail and make mistakes but when it's your finances and you are trying so hard to get them in decent condition, it's so disheartening. My dd has done horrid things I didn't think she was even capable of, luckily she seems to have grown out of it now. Is there anything left of his to sell to cover the expense?

    Didn't realise that games could escalate so much money. Does he play live through the Internet ?
