I bought a watering lance off ebay. It's faulty with a split washer causing a huge leak so as part of the returns evidence I put up a very short video. Before I'd added it and a photo to the ebay return I get an email from youtube saying there is a new comment...

    It appears that YouTube's API allows punters to search for videos published between specific points in time.

    I guess spammers constantly scan for newly published videos to add their ad comments to.

    It would be an entirely automated process. :rotfl:
