Perhaps you could let us know when he relists it? We could all then bombard him with a lot of useless questions about it - such as...how many wheels does it have? are there any sitting" tenants? How many miles to the gallon does it do? Is it suitable for gypsies? Is it on "mains sewerage? What Council Tax banding is it?........I could go on and on and on!

Sounds good to me.

Lesley that email sounds spot on . Good luck

• Look what was sat in my inbox this morning!

"Lesley
I am in an untenable position as over the weekend the van has been sold by
my wife through the trader
which was unknown to me as I was away on business and only received your
email on monday morning
I apologise for any inconvenience but i am unable to sell you the caravan as
it has already been sold and collected."

Would anyone like to help me compose my negative feedback?? :)

Off to report him as a non-seller now.

Hi Lesley,
I'm a complete newbie to ebay (just made my first purchase last night...will it arrive?...watch this space!!) so I can't help you re how to word feedback.
However, this thread has made me seeth at the cheek of the con merchant, and I will join in with the others in bombarding him with silly questions if you post on here a link to the van when it is next listed!

If I don't reply to you, I haven't looked back at the thread.....PM me :)

'Rip-off merchant. Should move to Nigeria and do it full time! Avoid, Avoid, Avoid!'

That should do the trick.
I haven't been asked to tell you that I'm the Board Drunk for this board. As the night wears on, my posts will become worse, with simple spelling mistakes, inane ramblings, and a blatant disregard for the truth. I have no authority to do anything, so there's no point asking or telling me. If you see me past midnight, please tell me to get my coat and order me a taxi.

• I have reported him and shall leave off putting on negative feedback until the outcome of it all. I would be amazed if he resells it on e-bay (if he does still own it which is what I think), but will let you know if he does.

Thanks all for the advice/help. Good job my 3 year old daughter didn't know what we were up to or there'd be 3 disappointed people sitting here and not 2!!!

Guess I'll have to put the cling film away...

:)

And I suppose the seller just simply 'forgot' to tell his wife that he'd sold it on Ebay? Unbelievable!

• Now just rub it in why don't you!!!!

No worries mate there's plenty of fish in the sea (ok I admit that one was rare). Plus with petrol prices on the rise, maybe it was a blessing in disguise? Developments are already in place which will see through the restrictions of car and plane usage as they are the biggest users so far. Things are bleak from that perspective and hydrogen fuel cells still aren't efficient yet. In the last 100 years half the worlds fuel supply has been used up, and the usage is increasing at an exponential rate. We'll be lucky if the world fuel supply lasts for another 20 years...
