Hello
In 2014 I contacted Stepchange, as my circumstances at home had changed and my debts were very high.
They advised me to go onto a DMP to get things under control. I contacted my creditors and all was agreed.
I stuck to it religiously and in 2016, we decided to sell our house and use some of the equity to settle my debts (in full) and keep the rest for a mortgage further down the line.
One month before the sale of my house was complete Tesco sold my debts (a ccard & loan) to Hoist Portfolio, I wrote to them explaining that i was on a DMP and would continue with my payments until my house was sold.
A moth later I called all my creditors and settled in full. Phew!
Well, 9months down the line and debt free I had a look at my credit report, only to see that Hoist Portfolio put two default notices on my account, which has utterly trashed my credit score and meant that I have to wait 6yrs to come off. Is there anything at all that I can do, as I thought i was being responsible and tackling my debt instead of hoping it would go away.
Sorry for the long message.

Had Tesco already defaulted the accounts?
You should ask for the default to be moved back to when you originally defaulted on the accounts.0 -
Hi, no Tesco never defaulted the account. Hoist portfolio defaulted the account when they took it over.0

Ask for it to be moved back to the appropriate date.0
