I went with a simply cheese/potato with beans. That's the end of the bag of spuds, so now there's no pressure to have/eat spuds
So I'm now on a spud break.
I've also been on a bread break.
You have to have these breaks else you end up only ever eating one thing because you've always got it and it always needs eating up0 -
That's it, near empty fridge now, the last of LO pizza eaten, and last of LO blackberry & apple stewed fruit plus last of ice cream, all eaten and none LO to haunt future meal times

I am having a running battle with the freezer, ate the last of the ice cream yesterday and made a few cubic inches of room. Haven`t made bread in a while because no spare freezer capacity. I have a tall freezer with drawers but am storing milk and butter and so on and then all those berries and the meat I never got around to cooking as I cannot eat it quickly enough. I did find a small quiche today and that made me dance with happiness
It so feels like autumn is coming fast, the allotment is being massively productive as though it wants to get everything done in as short a time as possible. I do have a small spare over run freezer in the garage but don`t want to switch it on, just to fill it with green beans and raspberries, which are just starting to produce and there are very many buds and busy bumble bees. Oh dear, I forgot about all the apples, I can store quite a few but some have to be eaten in about 3 weeks as they don`t store and they are ginormous already, yes autumn is coming alright, a month early
I am still having an oat/muesli/blackcurrant breakfast, soaked all night in soya milk. Its lovely. I don`t think I will tire of it. Later a few walnuts or almonds. Then a veg meal and later another veg meal and a treat to follow, I did apricots in plain white wine and left to mature for a day, yummy, will last 4 days with a dollop of natural yoghurt
Sometimes I really fancy a salty taste and will have a couple of rice cakes with marmite for a snack
and I am getting rid of some cookery books, no point in keeping them as I only seem to fancy plain food these days. I`ll put sewing books in their space0 -
That sounds really tasty and I bet LOs would make great soup:) .
Mm there are left overs, cooling on the side right now, but I was thinking of using them to add to tomorrow's soup, not make one out of it.
It is really nice, also decided on having it with kimchi. Currently munching my way through it now. My word, simple food but tastes great.I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy0 -
Well, I resisted the siren call of Vienetta but later succumbed to a bowl of Fruit and Fibre with added raisins. Caloriewise I'd probably have done better to have given in to the ice cream.

A lot of my early planted flowers are definitely "on the turn" so time to think about some pansies/violas to fill gaps.
I'm pleased that so far the succession planting of my peas, beans etc. has worked well so I'm easily keeping up with produce though I gave my Dad a cucumber today as I have one in the fridge and there was another ready with another not far behind that in the greenhouse. Just as well I'm not innundated as my chances of stashing any surplus in the freezer are non-existent at the moment.:o0 -

Mine are the same, until I pruned the tree I thought there were only a few, now I see loads, and like yours they are not good keepers
I did make sort of Hedgerow jam out of them a few years back, could be same this year. The jam was excellent BTW, which now reminds me to start freezing excess blackberries now I have a bit of freezer space, and empty jarsEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -

I am now living near the 2nd.
This wasn't my first choice of where to live, but I didn't have the luxury of continually waiting as many months were passing while I "waited" for my preferred spot about 12 miles away, but nothing came up I liked/could afford so I just "bought a house/what's for sale this week".
:rotfl:Grinning in recognition there....the "best available logical decision for what money one has available" School of Thought when it comes to housebuying. Yep.....house 1 and current house. What logic said was best available for my money:rotfl:No hanging around in between deciding "Now is the time I'm going to buy" and slapping the list one has made of "best affordable" down on the table and working out a "likely priority order" before even seeing inside them on both occasions. Followed - on both occasions by sticking with the decision made before even seeing inside the house (and it wasnt down to "falling in lurve" with the house the second one clapped eyes on or ever....).0
