How do I stop my PC screen freezing?

After not being used for an hour or so, when I try to connect to the web the dial up does not show after "send/receive" is left clicked in Outlook Express. Ctrl/alt/del often shows that "greasypalmsupdate is not responding". I have tried add/remove programmes to remove "rebate catcher" but failed with the response - "Installation log file not found". Can I assume that this may be the cause for the freezing? If so how do I get rid of it?
Ctrl/alt/del sometimes shows the "outlook express folder sync window class" not responding. Could this be a cause?
Any advice will be appreciated.

Try re-installing gresypalm, and then do an uninstall. My guess is you have deleted the GP folder which contains the uninstall info.I haven't been asked to tell you that I'm the Board Drunk for this board. As the night wears on, my posts will become worse, with simple spelling mistakes, inane ramblings, and a blatant disregard for the truth. I have no authority to do anything, so there's no point asking or telling me. If you see me past midnight, please tell me to get my coat and order me a taxi.

go to the start button, click on run then type msconfig
click on the start up tab and then look through the list to see if Greasyspoon is listed there still, if so untick that box then click on the apply button at the bottom .
now restart the computer and see if you still get the sameEx forum ambassador
