British Gas.... Consumption review
After being on the MSE big switch from October last year they have reviewed my consumption and after nearly 10months I am in debit by £11 however in their wisdom they want to increase my monthly payments by 36% from £82 to a whopping £112pm, having contacted them they have dropped it to £104 still not good enough, I for one will be changing supplier as soon as I'm within 50 days!

Is the review based on ACTUAL consumptions ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

We all get agitated when the computer system comes up with a review that produces what we believe is a strange result. As said above, the most important thing to do is to make sure that an actual meter reading has been used - not an estimate.
There are also some reports that rather than aiming for a zero balance at the end of a fixed contract term, some suppliers are now using a rolling 12 month cost projection based on an annual cost of ‘x’ months left on present fixed contract plus ‘12 - x’ months on standard variable tariff.
Putting all the above to one side, the ‘good news’ is that you will only pay for the energy that you use at the agreed tariff rate. Like you, if I feel that a supplier is just playing silly be**ers than I ditch and switch at the end of the contract term. Issues occurring in the summer months can make it easier to ditch/switch earlier and at little additional cost. That said, whilst switching away might me feel better, I get the impression that some suppliers couldn’t care less whether customers stay or go.This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
