Electric Tyre Pump .. Any good recommendations please ?
I want to buy one of those 12V electric pumps to leave in the car ... just in case.
Now, my daughter has just phoned from work stating she has a flat tyre, with the added words ... Can you help please dad !
Do folk here know of any good / reliable 12V pumps please.
I did see one in Tesco a short time ago, at about £10 but I always like to read reviews / get advice before buying anything
thank you.

This is a good one and highly recommended - https://www.tesco.com/direct/ring-rac610-12v-analogue-tyre-inflator/215-5128.prd?skuId=215-5128
They also do a digital version (on sale at the moment), which I have

My old man bought me one years ago from B&Q, this one:

but looks like it's not on sale now. It's been excellent and I still use it to this day.
However, considering a lot of them look the same, perhaps they're just a single manufacturer and rebadged Ring, Torq, AutoTechnik or whatever.0 -

The Tesco price was £24 when I posted it earlier, and also the price I paid for mine when I bought a month ago.
It was this morning when I looked too. However it's now showing as £39.99.
Amazon has the model down for £21.99. Only real difference is the style of the light, size of the LED display and 60 cm hose versus 70 cm.

Just don't buy the Halfords one. I may have had it over 12 months, but how many times would you expect to use it in that time?
I charged it after purchase which was fine, but some months later when a time came that i wanted to use it, i went to charge it again to find the inbuilt battery won't charge.

I'm guessing the inbuilt battery has depleted and has probably packed up. Lithium batteries can do that.
To be honest, I see no reason for one with a lithium battery to begin with? Lithium batteries are notoriously expensive and most/all cars are fitted with 12v sockets. Even the ones that are fitted with USB convenience sockets still usually have a generic 12volt'er somewhere.
The pumps don't use a huge amount of juice either. I run mine off the car battery with no engine, and have yet to experience any issues with doing so.0 -
I saw a fairly basic compact one in B&M for £6 at the weekend. Probably won't last you forever but it's small enough to leave in the boot and inflate a tyre in an emergency.0

I think I've seen the same one. Not all that keen on it, but tempted to buy one for my girlfriend as she doesn't like having mine in the back of her motor.0
