tower road Newquay ticket!

Hello there, I am new to this forum but I'm hoping someone can help me. I was given a postal parking fine at Tower road Newquay last month. The photo they sent me was my car going in the car park and later leaving it. To find a space, sort my dog on his lead and walk to and from the pay machine took me about 8 minutes. I bought an hours ticket, put a timer as I always do on my phone and walked the dog to Fistral beach. On the way back, about 45 minutes I'd say my dog became unwell and I had to stop to give him water and rest. I made my way back to the car and it was very hot in the car so I opened all the windows. My dog was then sick! I spent a good 10 minutes cleaning him and me up before driving out the car park. I have a copy of my parking ticket, I was over the hour but not as much as they are saying. I don't believe their timings to be correct. My phone is correct to GMT. If they had cameras in the car park they could see clearly I'd got back to my car within my time. I have written to them and said I am the keeper of the car but as yet have not given any explanation. They have rejected my claim and I now have a popla code. Where do I go from here? Do I confess I was the driver? Do I say about my dog? I would not have been able to drive away for a time with my dog in the car anyway as the car itself was too hot and needed to cool down! Suggestions please. Thanks

let us assume that TOWER ROAD has been featured on here many , many times

so do as the ones before you have done

they dont have "cameras in the car park"

they use ANPR cameras at the entrance/exit and monitor time on site

they do not measure "parking time" , and they do not care about you or any animals , they just want your money

Do I say about my dog?

You could say your mother in law was dying, they'd have no sympathy. What do you think they'd make of a sick dog?
