CCJS on Experian credit file in error.

Options
Hello,
I have 3 CCJs on my credit file which I am paying, this afternoon my son found the same CCJs on his credit file by Experian. They have my name on them and I don't understand why all of a sudden they have appeared on my son's credit file. He is going for a mortgage next month and we are all in a panic. Some of these CCJs are 3 years old, the only thing we can think of is that my son's middle name is the same as my first name. I have emailed Experian and have given them all of the relevant information. Does anyone have any idea of anything else I can do please?

Just pursue it with Experian. Nothing else needed.

Check the other two credit reference agencies as well. There is no guarantee which one(s) a mortgage company will use.

Both are available free if he registers with noddle and clearscore.

They have not appeared on his Noddle credit report, but I will get him to check Clear Score. Is Equifax the same as Experian?

Thank you for your help it is much appreciated.

No, Equifax are a different CRA. You'll need to check all 3, each with a free way to access them.

    They are as follows:

    ClearScore (Free, for Equifax)
MSE Credit Club (Free, for Experian)
    Noddle (Free, for CallCredit)

If the CCJs are listed in any of those 3, contact them, and they'll correct it.
