Should be, Ebac are one of the best makes in the market.
One thing to check is if it has a heating function as dehumidifiers with this function are a tad more efficient.0 -
We have a 2600e. Its excellent. Have had no probs with it at all. Its great in the rubbish weather when drying out my clothes in the utlity room!0

That's great, thanks both, I'll check on the heater thing alanobrien.
I contacted them through their webiste and they were really helpful, I gave them the room size for where we wanted it, I was initially enquiring about a much more expensive one but the 2650e was one of the two that they pointed me in the direction of. I have had this dehumidifier for a couple of years. You'll be amazed how much liquid they extract from the air. However, it hasn't been all plain sailing. I am on my third machine after the first two continually over heated and burnt out the main circuit board.
Ebac gave me new machines and a free 5 year guarantee but there was a lot a faffing about getting the machine back to them as they courier company (ANC) were useless.
In addition, on two occasions the removable water tanks sprung leaks.
It is a good product - when it works - but do keep an eye on it and keep the box should you need to send it back.0 -
woohoo set up our Ebac 2650e last night, just plugged in and ran on auto setting which they suggest you do for anywhere between 2 and 4 weeks. Empted the water container this morning and I'd say it was about a third to half full (I know I should have measured it but it was 06:45), put it back in and left it at that. Anyway after a short while it went on to standby, now, I know that you are supposed to leave them on but as it's new and until I can be around to ensure that it is ok I turned it off at the mains before coming out to work and I intend to turn it back on once I get home and leave it on overnight.
I am really impressed, we bought it because the room that we've put it in is semi subterranian and opens, via patio doors on to the rear garden which has a brook at the bottom. The room feels so much better, warmer too and the slight damp patch on the floor that we had due to water ingress is totally dry. We're having the room sumped out next week but the guy recommended that we got a dehumidifier too because of the nature of the room.
Top marks, recommend to anyone. This will hopefully turn out to be the best £160 that I've spent this year.
EMcG - I've held on to the packaing materials should the need arise to return it.Live long and prosper0 -
Not to hijack the thread or anything, but has anyone got any experience of a Delonghi DNC65 or DNC60 dehumidifier? Been bidding on ebay for one but missed out so far.
It says it chucks out negtive ions which are meant to do you good. Anyone out there feeling the benefit of negative ions?0
