Shower not giving out hot water
PrincessHebb
Sometimes when I turn on the shower, the boiler will not ignite and so no hot water will come out. All the other taps work fine, it's just the shower. But sometimes it will work with no problems.
Can anybody help me with this?
Thank you

Presume it is a Combi boiler. Seems like it might be the flow switch which should detect the requirement for hot water. If it works with taps, try turning the shower to all hot (assuming it is a mixer shower) and see if that triggers the flow switch and then the boiler. Don't forget to turn the shower mixer back once the boiler is working.0

Thank you for your reply.
It is a combi boiler.
Unfortunately this hasn't worked though.0 -
If the sink hot-tap runs hot, more likely the thermostat capsule in the shower mixer has failed.0

What boiler is it?0

Had the same problem until yesterday. Replaced my thermostatic shower with new one and works like a dream. It looks like cartridges may be gone.0
