I meant chunks of coconut ice made out of sugar and coconut like the inside of a Bounty bar not ice cream;) Sorry if I wasn't clear.would like to avoid special icecreams because we're highering a place out and not sure if theyll let us keep stuff in the fridge/be willing to serve it0 -
Hi there, dont know if this is too late to be of any help i have only just noticed the thread.
My sister in law owns a chocolate fountain company, and i help her out if needed and for wedding fayres etc.
The only things that arent really a good idea to dip in the fountains are things that crumble easily, as any bits that fall off into the chocolate will clog up the circulating chocolate and it wont run properly, things like coconut macaroons should be fine as long as there isnt too much loose coconut on the outsides.
Fudge works well but is very sickly!
turkish delight is lush.
Jelly babies are good.
profiteroles filled with fresh cream from farmfoods/netto/asda are delicious, they come without chocolate so ideal to dip.
chunks of cheese are suprisingly popular.
there are hundreds more possibilities, we spend the long days at wedding fayres testing new concoctions, there isn't really anything we wont try.
My all time favourite is hula hoops, there is something about the savoury and the sweet that i love.
Word of warning, scotch eggs......not so good!
Leigh xxI will save my tesco £1 savings stamps this year! .......so far = £50 (full card#1)
