Problem Porting Landline Number From Sky To EE
Comments
-
An update on this. Ombudsman has completed the investigation and concluded that the number is no longer active and therefore nothing more can be done.
However, Ombudsman recognised that I have given EE sufficient time before the number was deactivated to port it over from Sky, which they did not do. And I have made it very clear to both EE and Sky my intention to port the number over. Ombudsman has therefore recommend EE to send me an apology letter along with £30 as a gesture of goodwill for its shortfalls in customer service.
Not exactly the outcome I want but I don't think it can be pursuit further so I have agreed with the recommendation.
I think the moral of the story is that make sure the new landline provider is able to port the number from the old provider BEFORE the number is deactivated.0 -
