Parking eye PCN

Hi all,

I've just received a PCN from Parking Eye for a charge amount of £100 reduced to £60 if I pay within 14 days.
The driver of the car apparently overstayed their welcome, but says that they didn't notice any signs in the car park. There probably were signs but in their eagerness to celebrate their daughters birthday with a meal and a drink didn't see them.

The date of the event was 23/6/17 but the notice wasn't issued until 13/7/17. 20 days after the event.

I have read the newbies sticky and POFA 2012 and have gotten myself a little confused. My intention was to appeal the charge notice on the grounds that the notice does not comply with[FONT=&quot] Paragraph 9, section 4,5 and 6 of POFA 2012 - notice not issued within 14 days, or should I instead use the draft appeal on the newbies sticky.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

That appeal in the newbies faq thread is tried and tested with the objective of getting you a popla code

Thank you for you quick reply, I don't wish to appear as being a bit dim (although I probably am) but if I'm right you're saying go with the sticky appeal?

What does the PE NtK say about PoFA and 'keeper liability'?

    Umkomaas,

The notice does not mention PoFA and all it says is if I were not the driver at the time then I should tell Parking eye the name and postal address of the driver and pass this notice to them.

Good, you will win at POPLA then. That is what we call a 'golden ticket'!

    :D
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
