PPI on unknown loan

My partner is convinced he had PPI on a loan many years ago, but we have no paperwork and he has no idea now who it was with. It was well over 10 years ago, so it's not on his credit file.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

No one else has access to your husbands credit history except him.
If he can't remember, no-one will be able to.
You could, if you wanted to go total terrier, have a look at bank statements from that time to see who he was paying, but to get them, you either pay for the individual statements, which will be expensive, or you send a SAR and £10 and ask for them in total from the bank. But, they may not be available depending on how long ago it was, and they may come back with insufficient information anyway.
Your call.
Be aware, claims company can't find out this info either, they have no access to anyones credit files, so don't bother with one.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
