Hello I am after some advice please from any one who can help!
Today i've booked a holiday at TRAVELCARE in one of there branches. The holiday is for 10 days flying out next friday to Zante.
My problem is that when i came home and looked up the hotel on many review sites such as PACKAGE HOLIDAYS UNCOVERED the reviews for the PERKES HOTEL which we are booked to stay in are HORRENDOUS!
What i'm after is advice about what i can do as i've already payed in full by debit card.
I have phoned the branch to tell them i'm not happy and would like to speak to the manager tomorrow but they said she would'nt be in and i'd have to speak to the assistant manager.
Can i get my money back or am i better off arguing for a different hotel and resort?

Can't see any grounds for getting your money back

If the hotel really does turn out to be so dreadful, then you'll have to contact the Rep resort and let him/her deal with it then. Remember to keep a record of all problems and take photographs too.
Try asking for a different hotel/resort - but be nice
Use words like "very concerned" and "the worry is ruining my holiday, before it starts" etc.
Not much use now, but you really do need to do your research before you impulse-buy - especially on a holiday, where you can't return it and get a refund!Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac

What exactly were you told by the travel agent or did you just pick a price out of the window? Did you ask any questions about the resort? If so, were you told anything that would encourage you to make the booking (eg great hotel, ideal location etc)? Were you offered any brochures to see photographs/descriptions of what to expect?
Along the lines of mis-sold endowment policies uncovered in recent times, you may have grounds to complain once you've tried the holiday if it doesn't meet the standards you were led to expect. Make sure you keep records of any discussions you have with the resort rep as it could prove useful in your defense
It may be worth showing your research to your travel agent but they're unlikely to refund your money unless you can demonstrate that it conflicts with anything you've already been told. If they don't want to help, it would be a shame to ruin your next 10 days and your holiday because of what you think it may be like - go with an open mind and plan to make the best of everything!
Good luck0 -
everything I have come across about the hotel suggests its a club 18-30 type hotel
