Makes me think I might have struck on something they know won't work in court?
Indeed. they know their invoices are unlawful, read my thread about Bye-Law tickets titled "I want revenge". It tells you how to cause them some grief. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Read with interest, TD. In my case PE were at least good enough to hold off on the debt collectors. I did have a case like that with Virgin Media a few years ago (just as bad as the parking companies, that lot) and I wish I'd have pressed them more on data misuse.
I've emailed POPLA asking if they have any more information, seems like they're basically in cahoots with PE on this - presumably they let PE see my appeal text about 5 seconds before PE mysteriously decided to drop the case.
The other side of the DPA coin is going after them to see what information they have stored about me - quite happy to pay £20 to get them scurrying back and forth to their printer. IIRC, in theory they have to send me any internal memos or emails that name me, plus any comms with POPLA. Anyone tried that before? Actually I mentioned Virgin - a DPA SAR was the only thing they bloody responded to.0 -
£10 is the max charged for a DSAR.
Yes, DSAR process is easy. Anythign that mentions you or your VRM (include that in your request) MUST be given to you.0
