Best way to get earnings from US to UK?

Hi all,

I have a business partner in the US who pays me monthly. For five years we have been using Citibank, but Citibank are closing my $ account based in the UK (they are now focusing on 'wealth management' apparantly and my account doesnt cut it).

Can anyone recommend a good, reliable, cheap way to transfer large amounts between the US and UK? Usually $1,000 a month-ish.

I want it to be 100% legal and it will be tracked on my tax return, so I don't want to do anything hazy like PayPal's friends and family thing. This is for earnings so I want to keep it all above board.

Revolut - very cheap and handy, you can hold USD balance etc. Don't be put off the it's "just an app", they're really making some great changes in the way banking is done, and are FCA registered
