12 months for price of 9 with sainsburys home insurance

Hi guys just changed my home insurance (building and contents) to sainsbury's after i found they are offering 12 months for price of 9 plus additional 10% off if bought on line as well as premier card points.

not sure if its any help to anyone but just saved over £100 against the next cheapest quote at tesco's

It still works out more expensive than Tesco for me TBH. Thanks for the info though - it was worth a try.

Supermarkets, DIY stores, major retailers, basically anyone with a large customer base are now offering insurance. They do not underwrite or administrate these policies, it's all about product branding and cross selling to their customers. Therefore you could have an insurance with X supermarket, switch at renewal date to Y supermarket, but unknowingly, unless you read the small print, still be with the same insurer and deal with the same call centre.

If it's all about price, and you're happy to insure without independent expert advice, OK with being a number not a cherished client, then happy days.
