Hi, I'm new here. Love the idea of this thread. I'll be cycling to the veg stall and supermarket this morning, hopefully while it's still sunny. Also working out meal plan for next few days. This afternoon I have to work (I'm a writer, working on a book commission). Seeing mentions of hoovering in posts above makes me feel a little guilty, I'm not good with housework and my carpets are a disgrace!0

Good Morning it's another nice day here today, slightly milky cloud and a little breeze but warm enough and sunny enough to make it pleasant outside. We had a lovely meal out with my brother and sister in law last night, haven't done that in ages and it was nice to catch up and do lots of laughing. We're looking after yet another doggie for the day, this time it's Mollie the Collie so we'll work in walks with her and Cookie together as they 'get on' together and Mollies mum will collect her at 5.30ish tonight.
Pleased as punch this morning as I've cracked off another kilo of weight and am now into the 64 kilos, need to shed another 6 lbs to achieve the BMI of 22.5 that I'm aiming at. Trish my lovely sister in law said last night have you got some dresses now and when I said no decided she'd take me shopping, she loves clothes shopping, that will be great fun as she's good company and has a good eye so I know what we'll get will be right, strangely exciting after years of jeans and T shirts to contemplate dresses!
Nothing much planned for today as we've got to have one of us in all day for a parcel to arrive which will have to be signed for so pottering in the garden and more sorting and shedding in the store room is the order of the day.
Have a good one, xxx.0 -
Morning everyone,
Welcome MsLdn
Bit later this morning, was up early but seem to get caught up in loads of bitty jobs and only just sat down with coffee.
Clear blue skies this morning and a nice temperature so hope to get out in the garden later, what with all the rain the weeds have grown up overnight! Other than that it's a trip to Sainsbobs to use the last of the vouchers, not sure about tea, have a hankering for some Greek style feta pies so may pick up some ingredients for them.
Enjoy your shopping trip Lyn I've worn more dresses this summer and find them very comfy
Have a good day folks x0 -
Morning, ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one,
Nelski I had to smile about your comment!!
Grey morning, the cloud did break yesterday and it was a fine warm afternoon and evening.
I bought OH a weather station, got fed up with him moaning about the thermometer he had outside, heartily wish I hadn't he is moaning about that now......when will I learn???
Lidl this morning, Aldi did not have bread flour last week, fingers crossed that Lidl have some, otherwise its Morrison's; their flour is so much more expensive, makes it hardly worth making bread.
Another bag finished yesterday and the binding sewn down on another mat, just one to do today. I have another bag sorted out.......same awful chenille fabric......
Pizza tonight, will have salad with it, have lettuce from the garden to eat.0 -
Good morning everyone, thanks to nmlc for starting the thread and hugs to anyone that needs one.
Not so sunny today but it was a glorious day yesterday and I've managed to miss a bit with the suncream and have slightly burned a bit on the top of my shoulder.
My son caught two lovely trout yesterday looking forward to a fishy dinner tonight.:D By the time we got ourselves organised it was too late to prep the fish to bbq last night. We still had a BBQ and my sister & nephew came round to join us. Burgers, spatchcock cajun chicken and herbs potatoes were duly grilled and simple salads made. It was lovely to sit outside and enjoy the weather though it did get chilly later on:). There isn't much LO from last night just some bread and chicken which will get easily used up:)
I've not much planned for today apart from cleaning the bbq- I do like charcoal ones but the cleaning of them less so.0 -
Welcome MsLdnIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.0

Morning everyone,
Grey clouds here this morning. Was meant to visit my new niece tonight however mother and child were kept in for an extra day, so I think it's pushed back to Saturday.
I've been to the gym. Now at work waiting on the urn boiling. No plans this evening, although I may need to go a quick shop.
TA - You just reminded me. I think I'll make soup tonight too.
Camelot - How was the holiday?
Karcher - Don't be silly. That's what we're here for.
MsLdn - Welcome0 -
Morning all, well, as I have said in a couple of other posts, I've been MIA for many years
honestly didn't realise it had been so long! But in many ways I've stuck to the important things to me and still grow my own, watch my spends, meal plans etc.
Yesterday was glorious here (doesnt happen often!!) so I got a lot done in the garden and some weed killing done. This morning looks ok but is meant to change later just in time for me going to work soooooo I shall finish off the garden, hang out the towels to dry and walk the mutt as soon as I am showered. Meals are easy - leftovers for lunch and a sarnie or something for me for dinner as DS will be at Granny's house.
Happy Thursday allEmma

Morning all,
I've had a lurgy for a few days, awful cough etc so I'm not going into school again today to help out-hope I can make it next week for the childrens last week as they have been a lovely class and I want to say bye.Dont tend to see them much once they move up as I'm only there1 day.
At least I had the pleasure of DGD to see off to school this morning.DGS was meant to stay too but his mum rang DS to say he was tired and didnt want to come so he facetimed him instead. It was funny ,his Mum was chasing him round the house and up to his room while he showed off his toys on the phone
Meals have been very easy due to lack of energy etc,and so have dog walks, may see if I can do better today.
Congrats or hugs where due,I have been reading!
Welcome MissLdn!
