Hi,
I bought a used peugeot 306 few months ago. Its heater is not working. Now as the winter is approaching and I have to drive in the early morning around 7a.m. I have a thick mist cover and it becomes dangerous to drive. I tried to wipe it with a piece of cloth or soaking paper but it doesnt work. Is there any suggestion regarding this?

You can get car sprays especially for windscreen that reduce mist (Anti Fog), but I have a felling that you legally have to have a demister working

If I may be permitted the observation, it might be a good idea to get the heater fixed. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0

I'll second that - if you can't see where you are going - drive backwards?0 -
If the car is old and not likely to last much longer then perhaps you could look into buying one of those plug-in heaters that are meant to aid the heating up of the car on frosty mornings- Halfords used to do them, around £20 or so...
looks like this...do make sure it's legal though.;)

If it's simply the fan that's not working, put heat on full and direct air flow to windscreen, and use one of those demister pads. They look like this... http://www.tooled-up.com/ManProduct.asp?PID=132113&MAN=Ucare-X430u1-Genuine-Chamois-Demister-Pad The initial clearing up followed by the air flow and heat with momentum of the car should keep it clear. Also consider opening the windows.
It may simply be a case of the electrics on the fan shorting out with water. Recently my fan would not work, but a liberal spray of wd40 onto the wires where the motor connects got it working. Yours may well not be as accessible as mine (and therefore possibly less prone to this problem). Also check the fuse hasn't blown, it's a simple thing to sort out if it's just a fuse.0
