As much as I could eat chocolate bars all day long I have to refrain but do like my snacks to be chocolate related in some way or other! I love Weetos cereal bars (they have a thin layer of chocolate on!) and have less than 100 cals - you can get a box of 5 for £1 in Farmfoods, Poundland or B &M.
A munching bag I like are the Special K chocolate mini breaks (again under 100 cals) but would never pay the full price for them - got 2 bags (of 5 small bags) in B & M yesterday at £1.09 per bag as approaching the SBD.
I know veg sticks, fruit etc are better to snack on (and I do eat them honest) but I need my daily choccy fix as well!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Do you need to snack? If you're a fussy eater and you're bored of the foods you've been snacking on, could you increase your mealtime portions a little to stop you needing to snack between meals?
I know I much prefer *proper* food to nibbly little snacks so I generally have hearty portions but nothing in between. I used to feel greedy in comparison to my friend who ate next-to-nothing at mealtimes, until I realised she continuously grazed between meals because she preferred that sort of stuff. If you don't like snack foods, don't eat 'em!0 -
In between meals, i always drink a cup of hot water before reaching for a snack. By the time the water has cooled down & been drunk, i am no longer hungry! No one said it was gonna be easy!0

Tesco have those little 50g bags of Japanese rice crackers, seaweed peanuts crackers etc 3 for £2. They are quite filling and tasty. About 15% fat so nowhere near as bad as chocolate, quite high in carbs of course but then the bags are quite small.£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250

Cereal bars, dried fruit, cereal etc will feed your sugar addiction (which is likely why you are snacking). You don't need snacks, the food industry has conditioned you to think that you do and now your body is addicted to that rush to the blood sugar.

Top points for you Meadows! (I got 14 last week!) Sounds like you got it sorted
I am in the process of breaking mine, have to be careful with fruit as I find it stimulates my sweet tooth, but hoping this will fade. I had got to the point where I was eating snacks in secret, constantly thinking about where the next sugar fix was coming from... not conciously but I was.
Sugar is more addictive than cocaine and triggers similar dopamine response to many drugs, reward seeking sends us to the sugary snacks time and again. Once the cycle is broken it is amazing how you can walk past cakes without a second glance.June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500
