Deadline to defend claim

Is the deadline to defend the claim (in my case issued by Napier Parking as the Claimant, and to be held in Northampton) 28 days from the date on the claim form (21 June 2017) plus 5 days (30 June) and then you add on 28 days - ie latest 28 July to submit my defence? Just wanted to double check that I definitely have this right? I did apply for the acknowledge of service and this was received on 27 June by MCOL.

Also I have outlined by planned defence points in a previous thread (search for "Claim Form -Napier Parking" - I know it was a long post but I would be really grateful if someone could please confirm that my legal points are valid before I submit my defence.....

No, your calculations are not 33 days from 21st June. Beware, it's less than you think.

I would go with 21st July as your deadline as that's the last day by which you could post or email a defence to be received by the Monday morning (day 33 seems to be 24th).

And please stay on a single thread, your main one. We will always see a new post.

and 21 + 5 = 26 , not 30th

so as above, err on the side of caution and assume its around the 21st july
