Brittania pcn advice please

Subdelta
I have read the newbie section and found some of it very informative, but am still a little confused about a few things.
I recieved a pcn from Britannia parking 2 weeks ago for not displaying a ticket at West quay retail park in Southampton, although it says 30 mins free parking.
I went to office outlet and was there well under the 30 mins, but to my surprise on my windscreen was the pcn pretty much demanding £85 (£50 within 14 days)
It was raining heavily when I entered and did not see the tiny writing underneath saying "with valid ticket " (had to physically walk 30 yards towards machine to even read it)
Long story short I appealed the ticket to britannia online providing evidence of my receipt with times/date on it that proved from their own timings I was under 30 mins and the signs were a joke.
Obviously they refused my evidence and are still offering me the delicious offer of a discounted £50!
I can appeal further to popla, but am I just wasting my time? Shall I just pay it as my complaint to them about the weather and signage is almost admission of me being the driver?
Really would appreciate your comments/advice.
Also not sure if it helps, but after re reading the pcn it says colour of car- blue, my car is clearly black so the guy was obviously colourblind.
Thanks in advance.

Not with our version. We win all POPLA appeals, pretty much. And Britannia normally fold when they see our long POPLA appeals as it is too much work to contest them.Shall I just pay itafter re reading the pcn it says colour of car- blue, my car is clearly black
Never fear, use the template POPLA stuff from post #3 of the NEWBIES thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD0 -
they make those errors to fire people up so they focus on the wrong arguments and rusgh to dob themselves in by "blabbing!"
I would draft a POPLA appeal regardless , see post #3 of the NEWBIES sticky thread , then post it on here for critique0 -
Thanks for your prompt comments, after reading many similar story's on here since my original rant, I'm seething and and am even more determined not to give those parasites a penny.
I'll draft up a popla appeal tommorow and post on here for feedback.
