Tilt and turn window adjustment help

Just moved into a new house. It has tilt and turn windows (never had them before). Adjustment has been neglected so some difficult to open/close. Done some research on internet and think I understand what I have to do.
The problem is on many of them I have to adjust to vertical alignment. All the things I've found online indicate using an Allen key to do this. All my fixings look exactly like those online, but it is not an Allen key adjustment as all of the examples are online. It is a nut driver or socket wrench type thing that is needed if you see what I mean - there is a pin sticking out vertically which needs adjusting clockwise.
Could anyone suggest the tool that I need to buy (nothing was left by previous owner). The access is tight, the 'funnel' is narrower than a standard pencil and very close up to the window/frame.
I hope this description is ok. Is there a standard tool I can buy. I guess it may be one of those that can operate at a 90 degree angle.
Thanks.
