Advice on here to ignore it...I don't think so. That advice stopped in 2012. For clarity if anybody else reads this thread do not ignore tickets.

Please tell your friends who said ignore it that they are muppets. Better still ask them to represent you in court if it gets that far, god forbid.

In the Newbies thread is a section on Letters before Claim. Treat this as one and respond vigorously denying the charge.

Which one its all so confusing??

Ive now received a Notice of Intended Court proceedings letter and the fine has now gone to £100

Apologies in advance but Im not good at all this terminology, I have gone on the advice on here and friends to ignore this.

I did appeal this at the £60 and they ignored it and issued the fine for £100, any help is greatly appreciated, I have looked at the stickys on here but its like a maze trying to understand it all

Thank you for your time in reading this
Judging by this comment I doubt you have read the NEWBIES thread (a basic and essential requirement of any poster needing advice) or researched any other Excel cases?

Have you even read the advice already given to you by Coupon Mad? I suspect not, as you are repeating things she has already corrected you on.

Have you assertively told the gym manager to get the charge cancelled as advised 3 times above?

Nothing that has happened so far is unusual or unexpected... So you're about to get a court claim from Excel... Welcome to the club - I could wallpaper my house with them

How much have I paid them..... "£0"

How much have they paid me.... Over £100

We will help you defend this claim, but you need to get on the ball, do lots of research and follow the advice given which sometimes requires taking action.

If you're not prepared to put the effort in then neither are we. We have a lot of people to help and we do all this for free.

Your very quick to Judge, when someone is asking for help, this is meant to be a friendly site, and some people dont understand the in's and out's of the templates involved. For eg if it was an elderly person they may not have the knowledge to fight their corner and just pay it to not cause any hassle.

    - Yes I have read other stickies and peoples posts - and everyones situation/story is different.

I have spoken to the Manager - on many occasions and they are unable to help

If you have had so many, shall I continue to fight this or just 'give in' so to speak. Its very daunting when this hasnt happened to me before.

I am prepared to put the effort in, hence why doing the original post.

Just read post #2 of the NEWBIES thread...we have had so many and we win almost all (only ONE lost in a year).

Don't read other stickies or other threads which make you confused.

Stop whining and grow a pair.

They are fraudsters, liars, cheats, and bullies. They target the vulnerable, the easily gulled, and the stupid. If you are not in any of those categories, with our help, you can fight and beat them, millions before you have, but you really must read and understand the process, which is all set out on here. It may take you hours, but you will get there in the end.

Watch this video of the Second Reading of Sir Greg Knight's Bill in the HofC recently to put these scammers to the sword.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind most of these companies may well be put out of business by Christmas.

Read Bargepole's guide to defending a court case, read other posts, follow the advice in post three, read The Parking Prankster's blogs, browse Parking Cowboys, legal Beagle, Honest John, CAG, but most importantly, read and re-read the stickies, no-one here will help you unless you are prepared to help yourself.

You are caught up in a scam just as surely as if you bank account had been hacked.

On 16 August last year you were advised:

That was seven months ago, so my suggestion is to re-read that post.
In there you will find comprehensive guidance on 'what to do next'.

Hint: start at the beginning of that post and send a robust response to their Letter Before Claim. There are already written samples provided for you, just need a little tweeking to match your situation.
