Hard searches

Hi,
Does anyone have any experience of declined hard searches for credit being removed from credit report? We were misinformed that a credit search was soft and speculative and it turns out that it was a hard search and as the credit was declined our credit score has taken a hit.
I have emailed the credit providers pleading for mercy but just wondered if anyone has any helpful tips!
Thanks in advance.
Tara

Who misinformed you?
To be honest, a single credit search is neither here nor there. In isolation, it won't overly worry lenders.
Your credit score is meaningless so that can be ignored.0
