just wanted to warn people about screen select and dvd trials in general - just been charged for a month because i didn't cancel quick enough (and there was I thinking I was being all clever and money saving).

Totally understand where your coming from. Had a little run in with them too. :mad: They automatically sent out the 5th/6th/7th DVD which mean't i was about to be charged £14.99! Called them up and demanded my money back saying that i wasnt happy and that the system of automatic send out upon return of DVD wasn't clear enough! They gave me my dosh back :j

So be warned once you return a watched DVD a new one from your selection gets sent out automatically. I would say return them one by one so you dont get caught in the trap. Otherwise its not so bad!

Before you cancel, remove all films in your "queued" list, then at least they will not be able to send another DVD out to you. Also allow enough time for DVDs to reach them before next billing date and to be on the safe side, send last DVDs back via the Post Office and obtain proof of posting.

I have used several of the DVD trials and this seems to be the only way to ensure that you are not charged another month. Hope this helps someone.
