Civil Enforcement Ltd - No response

Thank you so much for your assistance thus far.

I submitted my defence and received a response from Northampton Court. Its now been over 28days and I haven't heard anything from the court or from Civil Enforcement.

How do I now proceed to get this case cancelled and the PCN cancelled?

Thank you in advance!

You're going to have to let it all play out until you receive a notice of discontinuation from CEL, or the court tells you the claim has been stayed.

There's still a bit of life left in this yet; failure of the claimant to meet deadlines isn't automatically fatal for them, until the court says so.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

yep, you need to learn the P word , PATIENCE !!

this saga can go on for several months , the ball is in their court if they wish to continue and pay more fees , so you sit and wait , you are not in control and never were , they are

you were never in control of this from the get go , as soon as they issued a pcn , they were in control , whereas you have to react to what comes at each and every stage

a landholder cancellation was and always is the best form of defence

come back if or when you receive the DQ , bearing in mind that CCBC is snowed under and backlogged anyway

you can easily read the post by member BARGEPOLE that outlines this process in simple terms (see post #2 of the NEWBIES sticky thread , which is what you will be referred back to each and every time you ask about small claims court)
