Poor credit score car finance

Greetings MSE Forum,

I have recently been offered a great new job which requires me to have a car for work and comes with a 4500 a year car allowance. However,I know that I have a low crediit score therefore, I have reviewed and followed the advice on MSE but to improve my score will take time. I have also checked my Experian credit score which confirms my rating as poor.

I am due start this new job in a few weeks so I need to make arrangements to finance a car asap.

Can you offer me some advice on how to get car finance with a poor credit rating?

Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

You have no credit score.

What do your three credit files show? E.g. Credit, balances, limits, defaults etc.

I would try and use a broker, like Zuto or car finance 247. That would be the best bet.

I have only done the Experian Credit rating via MSE Credit Club, came back showing my rate score as below 556 Poor Rating. I do not have the more detailed file, besides there is not much I do to effect improvement in the short term.

Without the files and just a random three digit number, it's impossible to advise on what issues you have or how you might best manage them.
