I've had a brand new car from a reputable garage, however this too has surface scratches all over where it looks like it has been in a car wash.

As I was saying the mechanical was was one of the factors, it could be also done by the person who wash wiping it and might not taken enough care. As the X3 is a bit tall, he might have put his scratchy shoe in the door sill to wipe the roof.
I have previous pictures of my car.

As I was saying, I do not know exactly how all that occurred, I know the damages did happen while at was at their possession. I can only think of the valet wash could be the possible cause.
