Removal People - Should/Would you tip them?
Comments

We moved house in April this year (after 29 years in the same house) and paid the removal company to pack for us.
They started packing on the morning of the move and were done by lunchtime. We kept out of their way but left tea/coffee and biscuits for them. I had fully intended to get them bacon sarnies for lunch but they declined.
We gave them half a dozen bottles of beer but I'm afraid it didn't even occur to us to tip them!0 -
Yes, I have done and would again. Lots of tea/coffee/biscuits/cake/sausage rolls etc and a good tip. They work bloody hard, and considering how much a removal firm costs in the grand scheme of moving house expenditure I think they are a bargain and well worth tipping.
We moved 6 months ago and used a firm that came highly recommended. They weren’t cheap but did an excellent job. I provided usual refreshments including posh biscuits and cake but they didn’t want anything even tea/coffee. We pigged out:rotfl:
We did tip them. I always tip people if I feel they’ve done an exceptionally good job.0 -
Yes if they have done a good job and been helpful. It's hard work and most of them are just working for the company and not on great rates of pay.
Normally give them £10 or £20 each depending on service and how many there are.0 -

That's because you represent a removal company - as shown in your profile -and have decided to reopen this old thread from 2017, together with another one about search engine optimisation, and another one where you innocently inquire about employing a cheap moving company you "found"... as part of driving interest for your services.
