Britannia car park Portswood Southampton

Hello
I'm sorry I've read the newbie sticky thread but I am really confused.
I parked in the Britannia run car park in Portswood, Southampton for 2hrs 15 mins as I believed it was 3hrs you were allowed there (I'm sure it used to be) but I've received a PCN in the post (nothing in the car as it's CCTV) for £100 or £60 if paid early saying I overstayed. I assume it's in fact a 2 hour limit. This was a genuine mistake.
I have a newborn and have complete baby brain and I'm a bit confused about what to do next. Is it worth me appealing? Any help would be appreciated as I really could do without paying out £60 and it was an honest mistake. I've never had a parking ticket before & I am always very careful. I was just rushing and assumed it was still free for 3hrs

Just send the usual appeal. Baby brain doesn't make it impossible to copy a template appeal into an appeals box (I am a Mum of 4 myself, been there done that with baby brain, but this is easy!).
Either appeal online or by email, not post.
Yes, worth appealing. You will win. DO NOT write about the story of what happened.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you. Just to be clear, this template:
Dear Sirs
Re: PCN No. ....................
I challenge this 'PCN' as keeper of the car.
I believe that your signs fail the test of 'large lettering' and prominence, as established in ParkingEye Ltd v Beavis. Your unremarkable and obscure signs were not seen by the driver, are in very small print and the terms are not readable to drivers.
There will be no admissions as to who was driving and no assumptions can be drawn. You must either rely on the POFA 2012 and offer me a POPLA code, or cancel the charge.
Should you obtain the registered keeper's data from the DVLA without reasonable cause, please take this as formal notice that I reserve the right to sue your company and the landowner/principal, for a sum not less than £250 for any Data Protection Act breach. Your aggressive business practice and unwarranted threat of court for the ordinary matter of a driver using my car without causing any obstruction nor offence, has caused significant distress to me.
I do not give you consent to process data relating to me or this vehicle. I deny liability for any sum at all and you must consider this letter a Section 10 Notice under the DPA. You are required to respond within 21 days. I have kept proof of submission of this appeal and look forward to your reply.
Yours faithfully,0 -
Grace periods. You are entitled by their code of practice for time to stop, read the Parking sign t&cs before you agree to park and then a further grace period of up to 10 minutes to clear the car park.
That should be your first appeal point. The template can not cover all permutations.0 -

That can wait till POPLA stage though - I don't want to see her add words that imply who parked.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

There is always a chance that a PPC may fold on initial appeal if a genuine obvious breach of the COP is pointed out. They then avoid the POPLA fee.0 -
Now I'm not sure what to do0

Do whatever you like. Appeal as keeper, who cares what you put?!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
