how long does it take to list?

I've just put my first ever item for sale on ebay.

It's in 'my ebay', and the time remaining is ticking down, but I can't find it however hard I search on the listings.

How long does it take to show up in a search?

Depends... is it valuable? Electronic? Designer? These things take longer to process as a monkey at ebay has to give each listing a cursory glance and then approve it whether it looks dodgy or not

No, not at all! But such items do take longer to show up on searches, there are several threads about it here.

I was just theorising in an entirely cynical way Note I said 'and then approve it whether it looks dodgy or not'
