Window sill being scratched by dog

I've just moved into a new house. When the dog stands up at the window sill, her claws are scratching the paint on the window sill when she drops back down.

I've looked and can't seem to find any product that can be applied to the window sill to protect it. I would have thought there would have been a film type product you could apply to the window sill to protect it, or a PVC product.

I know the obvious answer is to train her not to do it. The problem with that is it's all about consistency. Getting the kids to do it when I'm not around is nigh on impossible.

They seem to sell them in the US (e.g. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?pub=5574929384&toolid=10001&campid=5336714961&mpt=9617244&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2FDOG-PET-WINDOW-SILL-LEDGE-PROTECTOR-SILL-SHIELD-GUARD-COVER-PREVENTS-SCRATCHES-%2F262474881353) but I can't find a similar product in the UK.

Does anyone know where I can find such a thing? Or can you recommend alternatives?

    Cut her claws?

Clamp or tape some bendy plastic or wood over the area until she is trained not to jump up?

Try chew spray? I know she isn't chewing the sill but if she gets it on her paws it might be enough to deter.

Put something in front of the sill (table, board, whatever) that stops her jumping up simply by being in the way.

You can get chopping boards that overhang edges - they might be too deep but nothing a saw wouldn't sort out.

Look under wall corner protectors/guards - should be available in most DIY stores or online in a range of sizes/colours/materials.

This is what you need - stick it down over the sills with a SMALL amount of silicone and it'll be removable once you've trained your pet :)
